LA Tourists

I finally got to be a real tourist of LA! Chris, Jon, Feng and I strapped our cameras around our necks, put on our I <3 LA tees and got on a tour bus to check out the lives of the rich and famous in Beverly Hills.

We even caught the Step Up premiere at the Chinese Theatre.
Nothing has beat this sunset so far.

Sonoma

So much has been happening the past few weeks I haven't had time to update my blog!
But here is something I did a few weeks ago:

I went on a wine tour in Sonoma and was spoiled by not only the elegant and complexity of the wine produced by this vineyard, but was also was blown away by the stunning house.

Unfortunately, I can't show too many photos of the house, but it was gorgeous. The choices in furniture, shades of wood and artworks made the house feel very cozy yet modern.
You can find some of the furniture @ Restoration Hardware.

We had a delicious homemade lunch and topped it off with some coconut cupcakes.

Just settled into LA! Hopefully, I'll have time to do another post soon.

artjamming

The last time I picked up a paintbrush was in high school during my AP art class 4 years ago.
Then when I got to college, I just never made time to take a class. I was never good at it anyway, so I gave up on painting and drawing and continued my passion for photography.

Kelly and I are trying to make use of our time in Hong Kong and take advantage of the fun activities you can do here. So yesterday, we went to unwind at an art jamming studio. ArtJaMaLaMa is doing a Monday promotion for only $200HKD per person for three hours! They give you an apron, canvas and an abundant full of paint of every color. We were so concentrated on painting that the three hour session went by within seconds.

yay!! Complete!!
it actually looks cooler in this quadtych..
packed and ready to bring home!

the things i'll miss the most

As I count down the days that I depart from HK, it scares me to think that this is it... no more school...
It feels weird thinking about leaving home again but this time, not to a familiar place. I'm going to a completely new city - new friends, new apt, and new job. I'm very excited for new adventures, opportunities and obstacles but at the same time, nervous that I'm going to miss the one thing that keeps me sane, safe and happy.. my family.

It has been one of the most relaxing and uplifting summers I've had so far. Although I was going through a lot these past few weeks, being with family always makes me forget my worries. Hanging out with my new niece, girls night out, big family dinners, home cooked food, hiking, and even working at my mom's office are the things that I'm really going to miss in 20 days. 20 DAYS?!?! Time flies wayyy too fast.
