Hipster Baby

Maddie has developed a new obsession with anything glasses so I gave her my lens-less frames to play with - not sure why she loves them so much since both Ed and I wear contacts so she doesn't see us in glasses very often. In any case, I think she definitely looks better than me in those tortoise shell frames! Unfortunately the red sunglasses were swiftly broken by Avery about an hour after I took these photos!

Angkor-what!!!

Had a phenomenal hen trip with my best friends last month and am still taking it all in (excluding my sisters this time… that will be another trip later).  Mind you this is my very first girls trip ever so was extra memorable.  We decided to go to Siem Reap, Cambodia.  It was the winning destination because it was on a few of our bucket lists, what we thought would be a great chill getaway from city life, and well, because I wasn’t exactly looking for a crazy bachelorette party that I’d want to forget… if you know what I mean.  We also stumbled upon a great flight and hotel package of course.

The trip started out with a bang as one of my friends flew from NYC to join us and surprised me in the corner of Pizza Express at the airport.   With her were personalized champagne flutes and some fun “Time to Chang” glasses which set the tone for the rest of the trip.  To sum it all up, we thoroughly enjoyed… each other’s company, the temples, the peace, the sunrise, the sun tans, the champagne, the naps, the poolside bar, the smiling Buddhas, the tour guide, the Tuk Tuks, the very insecure yoga teacher, the cheap and delicious food, the “how well do you know your fiance game” that got me drunk in minutes, the dancing, the cuddles, and the morning after breakfast, but above all – the loveeee. :D

citygirl

ever since i moved to downtown, i've felt a lot more at home. i think it's because of the cool space, and the city life that i walk out to everyday. it feels more like HK and NYC. besides the many crazies that roam the streets, it's not as smelly as NYC surprisingly and i just love how there's so much to do within walking distance! speaking of.. i'll be back in HK soon for a good chunk of time and i can't figure out what to pack! i've always been a horrible packer. "well what if i want to wear this? and what if i need this? ... i guess i have to bring it all!" and then i end up shopping there and buying so much that i need a second bag to carry back. this time.. i'm going to try and pack light.

so i have to rave about these lovely cut out booties. they match everything! this time i paired it with leather shorts, stripes and my handmade clutch from the west elm workshop by toni! i've replaced my usual watch with this arm cuff and kept it simple with a few rings. this is my "getting ready for the real city" outfit. so excited for home!

5 amazing ice-cream spots in LA

I got 3 wisdom teeth removed last week. Why 3 you ask? Well, the 4th one just never showed up! It's been 7 days and I'm still struggling with the pains and aches from my jaw to my head. Worst of all, I've been craving all this food that I'm not supposed to eat! You want what you can't have... They say I have dry socket.. which is when there's a hole in the bone where the teeth were removed and it'll take a few more days to heal. :( teeth pain sucks.

So I wanted to share some of these amazing ice-cream spots in LA that I've been dying to try - since I can definitely eat ice-cream! Besides.. I've been staring at so many boxes of sweets at home that my friends have given me for my birthday I wanted to pay tribute to them! :)

mmmm ice-cream (love all these different spoons!)
churro ice-cream sandwiches (where is this other than the food fest?)
