Is it me or did this year go by in a snap? It's already over half a year, and we were only just writing down our new year resolutions. I feel like I've been running a marathon, and realized how much I need to schedule in a block of nothing. Meaning stay home, read, recharge, watch TV, eat healthy and sleep for 10 hours. Most of the time, we're so concentrated on ourselves, that we forget to look around, people watch, meet new friends, or read the news. I thank Hey Yeh and you guys for keeping me on track. It's really nice to have a platform to share my thoughts, my style and my work - and to recap at the end of the year and reflect on what I've been doing with my life.
On that note, I did this photo shoot with Taya a few months ago. We had a full crew of people from makeup artist, to hair stylist, photographer assistant, and fashion stylist. We pulled off 4 looks in 4 hours with full hair, makeup and wardrobe changes each time. This series is my favorite - featuring Taya Rogers (model) wearing this whimsical and eccentric jacket from OTT.
More series to come!

When I go to work, I really dislike wearing anything tight and uncomfortable that I have to sit in for 8 hours. That's why I was instantly drawn to these giant sleeves and square cut.

Took a last minute trip home for a week to see family. During this trip, I mostly worked from home and hung out with my family. It was pretty rough going out anyway - once you stepped outside, you were immediately sweating and suffocated by the humidity. On top of that, it was about 100 degrees. My mom and I did go out to check out a few new spots that I haven't seen - the Innovation Tower at PolyU, and the HK Walls in Sham Shui Po. The inside of the Innovation Tower is like the futuristic Men In Black office - all white and sleek with black floors. My kind of color palette! There was a white staircase in the middle of the building that went all the way up the 13 floors and towered over you. My uni definitely wasn't this cool!
The HK Walls was another fun (but sweaty) adventure. We printed the map from the website, and walked around the area to find all the artists' work in the alleyways and on the buildings of an old residential area.

Hello! It's been a while since I wrote. It's been a crazy month with projects and presentations at work, a one-day work trip, an impromptu visit back to Hong Kong for a week, planning our Sisters Trip and much more. There's not enough hours in a day. I pack each day with as much as I can take, and still, my to-do list is overflowing and never ending. Last weekend, I think my brain crashed - I couldn't get off the couch. So we watched Man in the High Castle from start to finish, all 10 hour-long episodes. Yes, I felt very guilty that I wasted a whole day, but thinking back, it was such a good break! My eyes were hurting by the end of episode 8, but I was hooked and I couldn't stop! I think it was my body hitting the restart button, and it was great! I feel refreshed and ready to conquer the rest of the month. Bring it on SF!
