Maddie has developed a new obsession with anything glasses so I gave her my lens-less frames to play with - not sure why she loves them so much since both Ed and I wear contacts so she doesn't see us in glasses very often. In any case, I think she definitely looks better than me in those tortoise shell frames! Unfortunately the red sunglasses were swiftly broken by Avery about an hour after I took these photos!
Baby Style
It's funny - once you have kids, you realize that you don't shop for yourself anymore and most of your time (and money!) is spent buying stuff for your kiddos. I had a tough time finding cute kids stuff in Hong Kong, so I ended up shopping for my babies at places where I shop myself - H&M, Zara, and Gap have cute and reasonably priced pieces for kids, and sometimes I'll buy stuff online from the US as well. It's fun putting together little outfits once in a while and luckily Maddie is still a willing participant in my styling "experiments"!

Another Photoshoot at Home!
My good friend and photographer Melanie Ko came up to our place earlier this month to do a quick, casual photoshoot for the three of us and my pregnant belly before #2 arrives. Check out some of the highlights!
Photoshoot at Home
Ed and I decided to arrange a casual photoshoot at home before Maddie's first birthday to capture some moments of our family as the three of us before #2 arrives! Our friend Angel recommended a local photographer, Thomas Ng, who did a few photo sessions for her family previously. I liked the way how Thomas stayed more or less in the background, observing us and snapping away instead of directing us too much. The photos turned out really natural and I loved the composition of a lot of the photos. Here are some highlights!
Haha I love the expression of Ed and Maddie here |
